    本研究は栄養強化時間の異なる広塩性ツボワムシ類(以下ワムシ)の餌料価値とマダイ仔魚への給与効果を明らかにすることを目的とした。強化実験には S 型及び L 型ワムシを使用した。ワムシは <I>n</I>-3HUFA 含有クロレラで12時間または24時間強化した。さらに,<I>n</I>-3HUFA 含有クロレラを一次培養過程から給餌し続けるワムシ(常時強化)も準備した。マダイはふ化後20日齢までの体長を測定し,20日齢時点の生残尾数を計数,24時間強化ワムシと常時強化ワムシの給餌群を比較した。S 型及び L 型ワムシの EPA と DHA 含量は12時間強化区と24時間強化区では差が無かった。しかし,L 型ワムシの極性脂質中の EPA 及び DHA 含量は常時強化区で高くなった。マダイの生残率は24時間強化ワムシ区給餌群より常時強化区ワムシ給餌群で高く(<I>P</I><0.05),体長の成長速度も常時強化ワムシ給餌群で速くなった。
